About Me:
I support that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach and believe that the counseling experience should be client driven and unique to each individual. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive environment for clients to process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I aim to empower clients to identify and draw on their strengths to effect change in their own lives, healing and reaching their personal goals. My ultimate goal is to assist clients in increasing their overall well-being and growing their social-emotional skill set.
I work with women and children who are experiencing the impact of mild to moderate anxiety and depression, life transitions or changes, stress and trauma, relationship difficulties, and behavioral concerns. My primary modalities of practice include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solutions-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I hold a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and Master Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I am currently pursuing a post-graduate certificate in Addictions in the Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse at Western Michigan University and am a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.
