About Me:

I am a licensed master social worker (clinical), involved in both the schools as a school-based therapist and the community as a private practice therapist.  I have been practicing and working with families in Michigan for the last seven years. I have experience from the mental health field working with children, adolescents, and teenagers in several different environments (community mental health both school-based and home-based therapist, private practice, and psychiatric residential facility for girls ages 13-17) in areas such as trauma, mental health issues, LGBTQ, grief/loss, divorce, sexual assault, eating disorders, and removal from homes (i.e. CPS, adoptions, foster care, etc.).  I am EMDR trained, and have had training in DBT.  I use evidenced-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), along with a strengths-based approach.

As a therapist, I am open, understanding, and accepting of all; and feel it’s important for my clients to find a good therapeutic fit for themselves.
